Sime Racing & Engineering and SRE Motorsport founders and Directors; Barry & Jimmy Sime have collectively well over 50 years experience in the Motor Sport Industry - Jimmy Started competing in the late 1960's and Barry in the early 1990's.
Both have competed successfully in a variety of disciplines and vehicles over the years and have extensive experience of preparing and running both their own and customers competition vehicles in many different championships and series. This extensive knowledge and experience allows Sime Racing to offer a value for money service to customers.
Jimmy still holds the "up to 1000cc" record for the Rest & Be Thankful Hillclimb in Scotland (and still owns the 1964 Mini Cooper S that holds the accolade) and in addition to hillclimbing, has competed over the years in various Saloons, Sportscars and Single Seater races, and also some Rallying.
Barry has several Scottish and other Karting titles to his name and has raced successfully in Formula Ford, Formula Renault, Clio Cup and other saloons and sportscars. Both have extensive first hand knowledge of most circuits in the UK and into Europe.
